Location

The villa is located at the south-west side of the island in a quiet, residential area, close to the child-friendly beach of Cala Vadella (1,5 km)

The town of Sant Josep de sa Talaia is a 15-minute drive, the airport about 25 minutes, and Eivissa (Ibiza town) about 30 minutes.

Activities

Ibiza has a lot to offer when it comes to nature and relaxation: hiking, cycling, enjoying breathtaking sunsets, or relaxing with your feet in the sand at one of the many charming lunch spots.

Restaurants

for dinner

Italian restaurant at the beach of Cala Vadella. About 20 minutes’ walk, some climbing when returning. Cosy outdoor seating and good food, not fancy.

Also a casual restaurant, for sardines or a nice hamburger.

In San Josep you have restaurant 60 Degrees, located next to the street, but good food. There are more restaurants located there, such as Can Limo.

San Rafael (meat on the grill)

Sant Augusti

In Ibiza City (Eivissa) + restaurant Born for tapas

In the old town (Dalt Villa)

for lunch

Es Cubells is our big favourite.

Cala D’Hort (definitely ask to sit on the sea side)

(also book on the sea side, not in the garden at the back)

Nice to rent a beach chair for a day and have a nice fish dinner there in the afternoon but it’s not cheap.

Great beach and nice location but (way too) expensive.

Both on the other side of the island (haven’t been there myself but seem to be good)

The island’s ‘place to be’ on our side. Beautiful setting, nice experience but also expensive. If you want to chose for the more expensive resto, we think this is better than the Gracioneta. If you’d like to eat at the Jondal, it’s best to book very long in advance.

To combine with the (hippie) market in the morning (market only on Sundays). It is in the North so a 45-minute drive from our house.

In the north.

These are beautifully located: nice restos/cafes to watch the sunset.

In high season, it is always advisable to make a reservation.

Supermarkets

  • Spar – Comestibles Cas Pou : Camí Cala Carbó 6 (which is the closest small supermarket but closed during siesta and also closed on Sundays)
  • Zoco : small supermarket on the beach of Cala Vadella
  • Supermercado Cala Vadella: Carrer de Sa Pescatera Fonda 1 (open on Sundays)
  • Hiper Centro in San Josep  is a larger supermarket, also open on Sundays
  • Mercadona, on the road towards Ibiza town or also one in San Antonio, is a very large supermarket

Eivissa – Ibiza city

  • Plaza del Parque with nice terraces and the Natura shop for gifts/clothing
  • In the neighbourhood of the port, you have some nice small streets with souvenirshops.  L’apéro is a nice place to have a drink or something to eat.
  • A ferry to Formentera can be taken at the port.
